ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Federal Minister for Social Security and Poverty Alleviation Shazia Atta Marri as the Chairperson of the BISP (Benazir Income Support Program) Board.
According to the details, the federal government has issued an official notification for the appointment of Shazia Atta Marri as the head of the BISP board, whose position will be the caretaker head of the board.
In the notification issued by the government, it has been stated that Federal Minister for Social Security and Poverty Alleviation Shazia Atta Marri will head the BISP Board till the appointment of the regular Chairperson.
It should be noted that earlier, Federal Minister for Social Security Shazia Marri announced the re-inclusion of the names removed from BISP by the previous government.
