KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a negative trend as the KSE-100 declined by 199.46 points to close at 48,386.25 points on Monday.
The 100-Index closed at 48,386.25 points after falling 199.46 points. The index traded in a range of 758.38 points showing an intraday high of 49,034.92 and a low of 48,276.54.
Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 232.034 million shares.
It should be noted that KSE-100 recorded a 3.2% WoW gain in the last week, while it has declined by 1,128pts or 2.28% since last week’s high.
Of the 100 index companies 28 closed up, 63 closed down, 5 were unchanged while 4 remained untraded.
KSE100 Index was let down by Automobile Assembler with 46.66, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 33.69, Power Generation & Distribution with 29.12, Technology & Communication with 26.34 and Chemical with 21.38 points.
Companies dragging the index lower were UBL with 42.51, OGDC with 38.25, MTL with 30.95, PPL with 26.71 and HUBC with 26.49 points.
Total market volume was 381.855 million shares compared to 331.132 from the previous session while traded value being recorded at 14.53 billion showing an increase of Rs.2.03 billion.
