YouTubers Sham Idrees and his wife popularly known as Queen Froggy are facing backlash over their recent video in which both have claimed accused a Canadian cafe of Islamophobic behaviour.
In a video shared by both of them on their Instagrams, the YouTubers claimed that a Canadian cafe they went to have dinner with their friends and family refused to serve them because they were Muslims. According to Sham, his family was refused to be served because they were evidently Muslim and the women were apparently wearing ‘hijab’.
On his Instagram post, Idress while narrating details of the incident shared, “Let’s show them the power of “My kind of people“ Muslims are a Minority in 🇨🇦but together we’re a FORCE #BanDemetresOakville”.

Froggy on other hand also uploaded a video and expressed how disappointed she is.

Moreover, just after their claim, the cafe itself uploaded a story on their Instagram account claiming that there was a misunderstanding between employees and the guests regarding seating arrangements due to COVID-19 restrictions.

However, the video that both husband and wife uploaded had a mixed reaction on social media. While several supported Idrees and Froggy’s claims, many others called it a one-sided story and urged that Sham fabricated the whole story as the video uploaded on his Instagram was edited.
