Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has appealed to parents to vaccinate their children against Polio during every vaccination drive.
Afridi met with Caretaker Federal Minister for Health Dr Nadeem Jan and discussed Pakistan’s efforts to become polio-free.
During the meeting, Afridi appealed to parents to ensure that their children received the polio vaccine during polio campaigns to protect them from the crippling disease.
He emphasized that children are our future and an asset to our nation. He stated that two drops of polio can protect our children from lifelong disability.
The pacer was the view that by ensuring that our children receive the polio vaccine, we can safeguard them from permanent disability. He emphasized that staying healthy is essential for our cricket stars of tomorrow.
“We can protect our children from lifetime disability while administering two drops of polio vaccine.” Shaheen Afridi said, “Many healthy polio-free children are our future cricket stars.”
He also appealed to parents to ignore all rumours as the polio vaccine is the most effective way to save children.
