Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad after suffering a heat stroke.
The actor was in Ahmedabad to watch the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between his Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
“The actor was suffering from dehydration amid a high temperature of 45 degrees Celsius in Ahmedabad. He is under medical observation although his health is stable. Security has been tightened around the hospital,” news agency IANS reported, quoting sources.
The actor’s close friend and actress Juhi Chawla visited him at the hospital. An official statement from the hospital is expected soon, IANS added.
Shah Rukh Khan attended KKR’s IPL match at the Narendra Modi stadium on Tuesday night. The superstar was elated after KKR won the play-offs to qualify for the IPL 2024 finals.
Following the big win, the actor celebrated by taking a victory lap with his daughter Suhana and youngest son AbRam. During the lap, he struck his signature arms-outstretched pose for thousands of fans at the stadium and also hugged his team players and planted kisses on their cheeks. Additionally, SRK, known for his encouraging demeanor, uplifted the Sunrisers Hyderabad players by chatting with them after the match.
