Additionally, the commission has also issued a notice to Vimal Paan Masala’s chairman, Vimal Kumar Agrawal, summoning all four individuals on the 19th of this month. The commission has instructed Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, and Vimal Kumar to either appear in person or send a representative. It also warned that failure to appear could result in a unilateral decision against them.
Furthermore, the commission has directed all actors and the paan masala manufacturing company to submit their responses within 30 days of receiving the notice.
Media reports indicate that a lawyer from Jaipur filed a complaint with the commission, alleging that the company falsely claimed the product contained saffron. As a result, a large number of people are consuming this harmful paan masala daily, while the company is making billions in revenue.
It is worth mentioning that Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff are considered top-tier actors in Bollywood, whose performances have generated billions in revenue for the industry.
So far, the actors have not provided any clarification regarding whether the advertising company had informed them about the authenticity of the claims. Generally, actors are paid millions for appearing in advertisements.
