ISLAMABAD: The Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has stated that the current rulers of Pakistan are not worthy of negotiation and lack religion and faith.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Shah Mahmood requested that lawyers and he be given access to Imran Khan. He said that the Imran Khan had injuries on his leg, and they wanted to ensure that he receives proper medical attention.
The PTI Vice Charmian further remarked that the country is facing a constitutional crisis due to the actions of politicians who are attempting to fight the parliament with the judiciary. Additionally, the country is currently experiencing an economic crisis, and their program with the IMF has not been finalized.
He condemned the arrest of Imran Khan, saying the action had sparked nationwide protests. He stated that peaceful protests are a constitutional and legal right but alleged that the authorities are looking for excuses to put pressure on them. The vice chairman claimed that there is a state of anxiety in the country, and even his house in Multan was raided, resulting in the violent assault of his employees, and the arrest of nine individuals.
In response to a question, Shah Mahmood announced that he will chair a 6-member committee meeting at 2 o’clock. However, he reiterated that the current rulers are not worth negotiating with, and he will attempt to meet with Imran Khan personally.
