KARACHI: Sindh Football Association (SFA) newly appointed Secretary Riaz Ahmed has said all resources will be used to promote football in the Sindh province.
He said that football has struggled in the country and every person should sincerely and diligently work for the betterment of the game in the country. He vowed that he would be doing his part.
Riaz Ahmed said after his appointment “I thank all of the members of the normalization committee of Sindh, who have put their faith in me”. He said, “I will be putting my best in the new capacity and work diligently for the progress of football in the country.”
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Secretary Manizeh Zainli has officially announced that Khawaja Obaid Ilyas and Riaz Ahmed have been appointed as chairman and secretary of the Sindh Football Association.
Obaid is a former footballer and was also Sports Director of the Aman Foundation. Meanwhile, Riaz Ahmed has been widely known in sports circles especially football throughout the country.
He is a former national footballer, national referee, football organizer and has also worked as a journalist and media coordinator of PFF in the past.
For the last three years, Riaz Ahmed is associated with Leisure Leagues, who organizes small-sided football in nearly 80 cities of the country.
