AMSTERDAM: The municipal body of the Netherlands has banned public sexual activities on the beach, saying that ‘sunbathing’ has been allowed, but sexual acts cannot be allowed.
According to a report by The Guardian, local residents in a town in the southern Netherlands started a campaign to discourage sexual acts on tourist beaches and dunes, which soon became a nationwide movement.
On which the municipality banned sexual acts on the beaches, saying that beaches and dunes are very important to the local community. These places have to be protected from such undesirable actions and behaviors.
The municipal body has displayed warning boards and banners prohibiting sexual acts on the beach. The organization can also take action on violation of this restriction.
