NEW YORK: Disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who was sentenced to 23 years in prison in two predatory sexual assault charges, has requested against his blame for rape.
Harvey Weinstein has consistently denied any wrongdoing or sexual assaults. He has filed an appeal of his conviction for sexual assault charges.
Earlier, Judge James Burke sentenced him to 20 years in prison for the criminal sexual act and three years in prison for rape. The sentences will run consecutively and both come with five years of supervision after release, and Weinstein also must register as a sex offender.

Over eighty women of entertainment, business, media, politics and other fields have since accused an American former film producer Harvey Weinstein of rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse.
In 2018, Weinstein was arrested in New York, charged with rape and other offenses, and released on bail. More than 100 women, including famous actresses, have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct stretching back decades, while Weinstein has denied the allegations.
