Senior US State Department officials will visit Pakistan next week to discuss important issues with the South Asian country including Pak-US counter-terrorism cooperation.
The delegation will be led by Senior US Official for South and Central Asian Affairs Eric Meyer.
Sources say that a delegation comprising officials from various US agencies will visit Islamabad from April 8 to 10. Sources say that issues related to enhancing Pak-US counter-terrorism cooperation will also be discussed during the visit.
This will be the first visit of the US administration to Pakistan since Donald Trump’s elected as President.
The U.S. delegation will also participate in the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum and will attend the conference from April 8 to 10.
Additionally, discussions will be held with the US administration about increasing business opportunities for American companies in Pakistan.
The delegation will also meet with senior Pakistani officials, and discussions will include deepening economic relations.
