LAHORE: Senior analyst and columnist Ajmal Niazi has passed away after a long illness at the age of 75 years old.
According to details, renowned Urdu language poet, journalist, and columnist passed away in Lahore on the night of October 18. Dr. Ajmal Niazi was born on September 16, 1946, in Musakhel area of Mianwali district and after acquiring knowledge he became associated with journalism and Urdu literature.
While still a student, Dr. Ajmal Niazi was the editor of Ravi and Axis. He was also a lecturer at Garden College, Rawalpindi, and government college. After that Dr. Ajmal Niazi also served in the field of teaching in Government College Lahore FC College.

Dr. Ajmal Niazi wrote a long column in the local newspaper Nawa-e-Waqt and his services to literature and journalism spanned 45 years. According to reliable sources, the funeral prayers of Ajmal Niazi will be offered today after the Asr prayers at Wahdat Colony Ground. Prominent figures in the country have expressed grief over his death.
