RAWALPINDI: Despite a ban on physical punishment in educational institutions across Pakistan, a student was badly beaten by a private school principal in Gujranwala.
The family of effected child demanded of Prime Minister Imran Khan to take stern action against the violence at educational intuitions.
Sources said Imran Hanif, a principal at Yong Scholar School in Green Town, Gujranwala, on thrashed Ahmed Bilal, a student of 7th class, with a water pipe. The principal also threatened other schools students to remain silent over the incident.
Afterward, the principle made efforts to hush up the incident by tendering an apology to the boy’s family, however, the student’s father Muhammad Yasin refused to pardon him.
Mohammad Yasin also sent a copy of the application to the IG Islamabad and Education Minister.
