Riyadh: A ban was imposed on writing Quranic verses on gold ornaments and decorative items in Saudi Arabia.
According to Arab media, the ban on writing Quranic verses on gold ornaments and decorative items was imposed following the instructions issued by the Grand Mufti and the Interior Ministry of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Interior Minister has emphasized that the name of (Allah) should not be written on any paper, utensils, or equipment that people usually use and throw away.
On the other hand, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia said that Quranic verses were revealed for the guidance of human beings and it is not allowed to use them for any other purpose. Therefore, under no circumstances has the desecration of the Quranic verses been allowed.
