The Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia has unveiled plans to recruit 10,494 teachers for the upcoming academic year, addressing staffing needs across public education sectors nationwide.
Applications for male candidates will open from Friday, March 7, 2025, and close on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Female candidates will have the opportunity to apply starting Friday, March 14, 2025, until Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
The positions, designated under the rank of “practicing teacher,” span a variety of disciplines to ensure critical subjects are adequately staffed in schools.
Prospective candidates must satisfy application criteria and successfully clear the evaluation process. The preliminary list of selected applicants will be published on Sunday, March 23, 2025. This will be followed by in-person interviews and document verification, scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the respective education department offices.
Final hiring decisions will be announced on Sunday, July 27, 2025, contingent upon fulfillment of all employment requirements. The selection process includes comprehensive assessments, such as standardized competency tests, to guarantee the recruitment of highly qualified educators.
The selection process is based on a weighted evaluation system, which considers the following factors:
- Cumulative GPA (10%)
- Graduation seniority (10%)
- General professional teaching license exam score (30%)
- Subject-specific teaching license exam score (50%)
