PTI activist Sanam Javed was freed after the Islamabad district and sessions court quashed a case related to her tweets on the social media platform X.
Duty Magistrate Malik Imran dismissed the case and pronounced the reserved verdict on her remand, accepting the request from her lawyers to exclude her from the case.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had discharged Sanam Javed from a case in Gujranwala. She had challenged her physical remand in the new Gujranwala case after being granted bail in all cases registered against her in Lahore.
However, she was rearrested by the Islamabad Police immediately after being released from the Central Jail of Gujranwala on Saturday.
