A District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Monday issued its written order regarding the physical remand of the accused in the TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case.
During the proceedings, prosecution representatives Adnan Ali, Raja Naveed Kiyani, and Mazhar Bashir appeared before the court.
According to the court’s written order, the investigating officer (IO) requested physical remand of the accused to further the investigation. Granting the request, the court approved a four-day physical remand.
Additionally, the court directed the IO to ensure the accused undergoes a medical examination and to present him before the court again on June 20, 2025.
It is worth recalling that Islamabad police arrested the murderer within 20 hours from Faisalabad, after which the accused confessed to killing TikToker Sana Yousaf and stated that he shot her in a fit of rage after she rejected his friendship.
The FIR stated that on Monday evening at 5 PM, the accused entered the house and fired at Sana, with two bullets hitting her chest.
The Islamabad court has ordered the accused, Umar Hayat, to be sent to judicial lockup for an identification parade. The court also directed that the accused should not meet anyone until the identification parade is conducted.
