The salaried class has outpaced all others in tax contributions, paying Rs. 499 billion in taxes over the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.
Details of tax collections from various sectors during the fiscal year have emerged, revealing that salaried individuals have contributed the highest amount of tax to the government.
According to sources, jobholders deposited Rs. 499 billion in taxes over 11 months — the highest among all sectors.
In comparison, the export sector contributed Rs. 96.36 billion, while taxes collected from property sales amounted to Rs. 110.18 billion, and property purchases brought in Rs. 109.68 billion.
Sources added that Rs. 22.36 billion was collected from the wholesale sector, while the retail sector contributed Rs. 33.30 billion during the same period.
