A fierce competition was expected among the three films released in Indian cinemas this month on July 18, but Saiyaara outshone them all, after which Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, Kush Sinha, clarified his stance on the allegations of content theft against Saiyaara.
According to details, the three films released on July 18 included Saiyaara, Kush Sinha’s Nikita Roy, and Anupam Kher’s Tanvi the Great. Indian media believes Saiyaara turned out to be a blockbuster, after which the remaining films are struggling to survive at the box office.

So far, at the Indian box office, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s film Saiyaara has done business of over ₹250 crore, while Nikita Roy and Tanvi the Great have both done business close to ₹2 crore. In an interview, Kush Sinha made various claims and called Saiyaara a copy.
During the interview, Kush Sinha said Tanvi the Great has been pulled from cinemas, but his film Nikita Roy is still running. “My father, Shatrughan Sinha, encouraged me not to lose heart. Sometimes, some films just ride a wave,” he said.

According to Indian media, Kush Sinha did congratulate Saiyaara’s team on their success but did not mention the film by name. He said, “Box office results are not in our hands. I’m happy that a romantic film with two new actors has done such good business.”
Kush Sinha said, “I want to congratulate Yash Raj Films, and I’m happy for them. The best thing is that Nikita Roy is a completely original film, and we haven’t stolen content from anywhere.”
When Kush Sinha was asked about the allegations of content theft against the makers of Saiyaara, he said, “There has been debate about it, but it is their matter to respond to. They will have to clear their name.”
