What I loved about this interview is how humble, thoughtful and articulate @SaimSadiq14 is about writing a real dynamic Pakistani story. https://t.co/Qb7PYEmLQk #joyland pic.twitter.com/Elj8nbLiYR

Standing ovation for debuts can be so damn overwhelming … #joyland is a tender heartbreaker of a film … Reminding me of our own #Masaan back in 2015 … pic.twitter.com/LT1ILJzspo

#Joyland representing #Pakistan at #Cannes Would be banned or hard to find a screen for it in Pakistan ? Such ‘Art’films are alway for a minority but cant the Line of creatives making substandard PK Movie after movie at least learn something from the passion & techniques used ?

In some good news: Standing ovation at @Festival_Cannes for our very own #Joyland
Love for the entire team! You’ve made Pakistan proud. For the Pakistani “film industry”: This is how you make a “film”. Speaks for itself. Stretched dramas padded with Bollywood chaapa aren’t it. https://t.co/OyVlj36VM2

So proud of team #joyland. I hope this is a film we get to see on Pakistani screens as well as global OTT platforms. I’ve yet to see #ZindagiTamasha, here’s hoping our censors can get out of the way of Pakistani artists once and for all so the latter can scale new heights. https://t.co/EsYtDQ6iXF

#Joyland such a proud moment. Other than all the pictures and videos coming from there, what I am loving the most is that film was reviewed by leading international news portals like The Hollywood Reporter. Such a great achievement which will open doors for many & those involved.
