A Mumbai court has re-issued a bailable warrant for Malaika Arora due to her failure to appear as a witness in the 2012 hotel brawl case, as reported by Indian media on Tuesday.
According to Indian media, the warrant for Malaika Arora was issued after the Bollywood actress failed to appear before the court as a witness in the case involving Saif Ali Khan. The warrant was re-issued on Monday, 7th April, and the next court hearing is scheduled for April 29.
A report states that the incident happened in 2012, when Iqbal Mir Sharma objected to the loud conversation at Saif Ali Khan’s table. According to the complaint, Saif allegedly threatened Iqbal Mir Sharma before punching him in the nose, resulting in a fracture. Iqbal also accused Saif and his associates of assaulting his father-in-law, Raman Patel.

Following the incident, Khan and his friends Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi were arrested and charged under Indian Penal Code Sections 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (common intention). They were later released on bail. Khan maintained that Sharma had used provocative language towards the women in his group, which led to the altercation.
The case has seen multiple court proceedings over the years. In April 2023, charges were read out against Khan and his associates, with the trial expected to commence in June 2023. In March 2025, Amrita Arora testified in court, stating that Sharma had threatened their group and initiated the altercation.
