SADIQABAD: A man in Faisalabad is pressurizing a woman for marriage by making a fake marriage certificate and threatening to defame her, according to the victim’s mother.
Talking to M.M News, Razia Bibi, the victim’s mother, informed that her daughter Ayesha Bibi was being pressurized. “A man, named Nadeem, has made a fake marriage certificate and is spreading false claims that my daughter is his wife,” she claimed.
“We have been humiliated in our neighborhood and family because of this criminal act by Nadeem,” she said, adding that the accused was threatening to abduct and defame her daughter.
She further informed that her daughter was engaged to Nadeem’s brother but it lasted for only three months. In this regard, the victim said, “After the engagement broke down, Nadeem started sending fake marriage certificates at our home, which doesn’t have my signature.”
“I have filed several applications with Sadiqabad police station but so far the police officials have not filed a case against the accused,” she added. The victim and her mother have appealed to RPO and CPO Rawalpindi to arrest the accused and punish him severely according to the law.
