ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani constituted a committee comprising parliamentary leaders to investigate into alleged objectionable video featuring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Senator Azam Khan Swati and his family.

The move came hours just a day after Senator Azam Swati narrated shocking details about what happened to his family, and how an obscene video of his private life was sent to daughter to shatter their privacy. He revealed that the video was recorded during his stay at Quetta Judicial Complex on arrangements made by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani.

Terming the video of Azam Swati as ‘shocking’, Sadiq Sanjrani in a statement yesterday had said that the committee would prepare the report and present it before the House.
“Senator Azam Swati is like my elder brother; I have family relations with him,” Sanjrani said. “All senators are respectable and like family without discrimination and Swati is like a member of my family, which is not hidden from anyone,” the Senate chairman said and added he is well aware of moral values as a Muslim and a Baloch.

As per notification issued here on Sunday, only one member from PTI, Senator Mohsin Aziz, has been included in the 14-members committee. The rest of the committee comprises Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar (PMLN), Senator Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani (PPP), Senator Molana Abdul Gafoor Haideri (JUIF), Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar (BAP), Senator Faisal Sabzwari (MQM), Senator Tahir Bizenjo (NP), Senator Safeeq Tareen (PKMAP), Senator Mushtaq Ahmed (JI), Senator Muhammad Qasim (BNP), Senator Muzaffar Hussian Shah (PMLF), Senator Hidayatullah Khan (ANP), Senator Kamil Aga (PMLQ) and Senator Dilawar Khan (Independent).
