The US dollar’s rate against the rupee fell by 71 paise in the interbank on Monday.
After falling 71 paise in the interbank market, the buying and selling of the dollar continues at Rs284.25.
It should be noted that on the previous trading day, the price of the dollar was recorded at Rs284.87.
The greenback also lost 50 paisas in the open market and was trading for Rs293 in the open market in the midday trading.
In the international forex market, the dollar started the week on a shaky footing on Monday as markets took stock of cautious remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell as they waited on a key employment report that could influence the outlook for U.S. interest rates.
