QUETTA: Abdul Qudus Bizenjo, Chief Minister Balochistan, has asked the federal government to provide at least Rs200 billion for the rehabilitation of the flood-hit victims in Balochistan as the province is unquestionably the worst affected part of the country amid the catastrophic floods that has killed over 1000 people since mid-June.
CM Abdul Qudus Bizenjo, in a conversation with journalists in Quetta, said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced Rs10 billion for the province, but at least Rs200 billion is required for the rehabilitation of the flood-hit people.
Earlier in the day, PM Shehbaz Sharif visited flood-hit areas of the Balochistan province and announced Rs10 billion for the provincial government to assist flood victims.
The Chief Minister denied the accusation that he has been ignoring the flood-hit people.

The CM of Balochistan said that the lack of tents is not a financial problem but the government is not getting tents from the market due to increased demand.
Abdul Qudus Bizenjo also said that the rain in Quetta has caused damage where the lands have been encroached.
Moreover, the death toll from torrential rains and flash floods in Balochistan has risen to 244 as two more people have lost their lives during the past 24 hours.
