Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has received his first call-up to Portugal’s Under-15 national team.
The 14-year-old, who currently plays for Al-Nassr’s academy in Saudi Arabia, joins the youth squad for an international tournament set to take place in Croatia from May 13 to 18. Portugal will face Japan, Greece, and England during the competition.
Ronaldo Jr. has previously trained with the youth setups of Manchester United, Juventus, and Real Madrid, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, who remains active for Portugal’s senior national team. Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals in men’s international football, with 136 goals to his name.
His father, Cristiano Ronaldo—five-time Ballon d’Or winner and global football icon—shared his pride on social media, posting a photo of his son’s name on the squad list with the caption: “Proud of you, son.”
The younger Ronaldo’s selection marks a major step in his budding football journey, as he begins to make his own mark on the international stage.
