Renowned religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik is reportedly set to visit Pakistan next month.
A medical doctor by training, Dr. Naik is widely recognized as a dynamic international speaker on Islam and Comparative Religion. Over the past 24 years, he has delivered more than 2,000 public talks across 40+ countries, each followed by open Q&A sessions.
Several Facebook pages associated with the Central Muslim League Karachi have announced that Dr. Zakir Naik will soon visit Pakistan. During his visit, he is expected to deliver an address to a congregation at Badshahi Mosque in Lahore on October 11.
In a recent interview with a Pakistani YouTuber, Dr. Naik discussed key moments from his life, an exchange that quickly gained widespread attention and millions of views within hours.
When asked why he chose Malaysia over Pakistan after leaving India, Dr. Naik explained, “It would have been easier for me to go to Pakistan. I have visited before and have many supporters there.”
He further elaborated, referring to an Islamic principle: “Sharia teaches us to accept a lesser harm to avoid a greater one. Had I moved to Pakistan, India would have labeled me an ISI agent and spread false propaganda, which would have harmed my institution and hindered my mission to spread the teachings of Islam.”
It should be noted that Dr. Naik first visited Pakistan back in 1991,
