ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed gratefulness to overseas Pakistanis for yet another record-breaking month of remittances in December.
The prime minister took to Twitter and wrote that for the first time in six consecutive months, Pakistan’s remittances exceeded $2 billion, he said.

“I want to thank our overseas Pakistanis for yet another record-breaking month of remittances in Dec: $2.4 bn. MashaAllah, 1st time in Pakistan remittances have been above $2 bn for 6 consecutive months. Total for 6 months of this fiscal year $14.2 bn – a 24.9% growth over last year,” the prime minister posted.

The prime minister wrote that the total volume of remittances in the first six months of the current financial year was 14.2 billion, which is 24.9 percent more than last year.
