Bollywood actress Rekha, who was last seen in the movie ‘Supernani’, might soon be seen in an exciting look as the actress is in talks with one of the most popular directors of Indian cinema.
According to reports, Rekha is in ‘advanced talks’ with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a pivotal role in his Netflix web series Heeramandi. Sources claimed that it was role especially written for Rekha.
“Rekha has been keen to work with Bhansali for the longest time and he too is desirous of tapping into ‘the Rekha mystique’. But somehow, the two have never been able to work together before. Bhansali wanted Rekha for a special role in Heeramandi from the beginning. But then, it seemed that this classic partnership was again jinxed,” a source tells us.

However, when the casting process of Heeramandi is almost over, Rekha might be joining the cast. Moreover, there are reports that Bhansali will be pocketing around Rs. 60-65 crore rupees as a directorial fee, the rest of the 200-crore budget for Heeramandi goes into production costs and in paying the actors.
Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Huma Qureshi, and Richa Chadha have agreed to work at reduced rates. The male cast of Heeramandi is now being finalized.
