ISLAMABAD: Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan has said he refused to represent Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s case as it was a big case.
While talking to media reporters outside the Supreme Court, Khalid Javed Khan said that he already explained to Prime Minister Imran Khan about the reason why he refused to represent Justice Qazi Faez Isa in court.
“I made it clear to the premier that the reference is a very big case,” said Khalid Javed Khan.
Javed further said that he was assuming not to continue as the attorney general after he refused to take such a high profile case. The prime minister appointed him because he was a professional, he added.
Earlier on 24th February, Khan refused to represent the government in the Justice Qazi Faez Isa case. “I cannot represent the federation. I have already stated my opinion regarding the Justice Isa reference,” the AGP added.
Khalid Jawed Khan was appointed on 21st February as a new attorney general of Pakistan.
