Rebel Moon (also known as Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire) is finally streaming on Netflix.
The epic space opera film had a limited theatrical released earlier this month, ahead of its streaming debut on December 21, 2023, by Netflix. Directed by Zack Snyder, the movie is set in a fictional galaxy ruled by the Motherworld. Here is everything we know about the movie:
Rebel Moon
The star-trotting epic Rebel Moon is about Kora (Sofia Boutella), a lone-wolf soldier who’s found community and connection on the quiet farming moon of Veldt. She’s a long way away from her former life fighting for the Imperium, the brutal interstellar royal empire bent on controlling the galaxy. But Kora’s violent past is dredged up when sadistic admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) comes to Veldt via a Dreadnought-class battle cruiser and stirs up deadly trouble on the orders of the Imperium’s tyrannical regent, Balisarius (Fra Fee).
Cast
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Ed Skrein, and Anthony Hopkins.
Is the movie worth watching?
“Rebel Moon” is a must-watch for any Zack Snyder fan. If you love his unique style and his ability to create visually stunning and action-packed films, you won’t be disappointed. Don’t let the poor critic reviews discourage you (they are shilling for Disney).
Will there be a ‘Part Two’?
An extended cut is set for release in early 2024, while a direct sequel, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, is scheduled for release on April 19, 2024.
