LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has claimed that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), the ruling coalition that came to power as a result of vote of no-trust against Imran Khan-led regime in April this year, is ready for ‘unconditional talks’ with Imran Khan (on the subject of general elections), only after economy is set as top agenda of the dialogues.
Talking to media in Lahore on Saturday, he disclosed that President Dr Arif Alvi was still facilitating (back channel) talks (with Imran Khan).

Rana Sanaullah said the practice of filing false cases against the political opponents should be shunned, claiming that cases against PDM leaders were being disposed off on merit.

Referring to Daily Mail’s “Clarification and Correction”, the Interior Minister claimed that the British based newspaper tendered apology for filing baseless story against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, adding that the PTI leadership should also tender apology. He alleged that PTI leadership was bent upon destroying the country for the sake of its politics.
