In Rawalpindi, a clash between two student groups at Barani University resulted in four students being injured and three others being arrested.
Sources indicate that the altercation stemmed from ongoing tensions between the rival groups within the university. Following the incident, local police arrived at the university premises and arrested three students. The injured students were transported to a nearby hospital, and police have initiated an investigation with the arrested individuals.
Earlier, in October 2024, a similar clash occurred at the boys’ hostel of Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, where over 26 students were injured due to a conflict between two rival groups.
According to police reports, several students sustained injuries during the clash, with one student in critical condition. During the fight, one group set fire to a room in the hostel and caused damage to various items within the hostel.
