ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has said that the incumbent government is a mafia.
While addressing the National Assembly Rana Sanaullah said that the hike in the petrol price is the biggest thievery in history. “No action was taken on the prices of medicines which have increased by 400 times, there was noise but what was the result?” he said.
He said that the prices of flour had surged but the government did not realize it. “Who is taking action against the mafia? Those who were to be chased by the mafia were chased by the opposition,” he asserted.
The PML-N leader while terming the incumbent government mafia said that when petrol became cheaper, the government cut its supply off. “The mafia has benefited billions of rupees from rising oil prices,” he claimed.
A notification was issued on Friday evening stating that Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved a summary of recommendations to increase the prices of petroleum products “in view of the rising oil prices trend in the global market.”
Petrol prices have been hiked by a massive up Rs25.58 per litre and will immediately be sold at Rs100.10 per litre. The prices of high-speed diesel (HSD), kerosene oil, and light diesel were increased Rs21.31, Rs23.50, and Rs17.84 per litre respectively.
