Rana Sanaullah, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Political Affairs, has criticized US President-elect Donald Trump and PTI founder Imran Khan, labeling them liars who attack institutions.
During an ARY News program ‘Khabar Muhammad Malick Ke Saath’, Rana Sanaullah stated that both leaders are known for spreading falsehoods, mocking others, and attacking institutions. He mentioned that there are many similarities between Donald Trump and Imran Khan.
Rana Sanaullah also stated that both US President-elect Donald Trump and Imran Khan make fun of others and resort to illegal activities to secure the acceptance of their demands. He highlighted how Donald Trump gathered his supporters and attacked the White House.
On the other hand, PM Shehbaz Sharif and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz (who also happens to be the niece of the PM of Pakistan) congratulated Donald Trump on being elected as the next President of the United States. Reflecting on this, Rana Sanaullah termed it as ‘just a mere diplomatic gesture and formality.’
In response to a question regarding the release of Imran Khan at the US’s demand, Rana Sanaullah stated, “I do not believe the US government will do so.”
“In my personal opinion, Imran Khan should be handed over to the US if Donald Trump wishes for these two brothers to work together. If the US wants, it can take Imran Khan in exchange for Aafia Siddiqui’s release, and the nation would probably agree on it,” SAPM Rana Sanaullah said.
