ISLAMABAD: Rallies are being held across Pakistan and around the world on account of ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’, marking a one year anniversary of Indian siege in occupied Kashmir.
A minute’s silence was observed across the country at 10 am. A rally was organized from the Prime Minister’s House to Parliament in Islamabad.
President Arif Ali attended the rally along with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani, Information Minister Shibli Faraz, and Chairman Kahmir Committee Shehryar Afridi also participated in the rally.

Addressing the rally in Lahore, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that India had massacred Kashmiris in IoK and independence would be the destiny of the Kashmiri people. He said that minorities in Pakistan have complete freedom and atrocities are being perpetrated on minorities in India.
Chaudhry Sarwar further said that Pakistani people will continue to support Kashmiris, despite the atrocities, the spirit of Kashmiri people has not diminished.
Lawyers hold a protest rally in Azad Kashmir on Exploitation Day. A rally and a symbolic hunger strike were organized by the District Bar Association. In Mirpur Azad Kashmir, a protest was staged from District Court to Chowk Shaheed.
