Rajab Butt has held the “333 Group” accountable for a shooting that recently occurred at his home.
Butt, one of the largest online followings in the country, has been embroiled in controversy for years, including over his brief custody of a lion cub.
The house of controversial YouTuber Rajab Butt came under fire on last Thursday night, when two unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire at Rajab Butt’s house.
In a video message, Rajab Butt said that the person who fired shots at his house is named Kashif Chauhan, who he claims is affiliated with the 333 Group.
According to Rajab Butt, Kashif Chauhan first changed vehicles and then arrived on a motorcycle to carry out the shooting. He further alleged that the shooting was orchestrated by Shehzad Bhatti, who is currently residing abroad.
The YouTuber claimed that the police are fully aware of the suspects involved. However, police officials have rejected his claims, saying that they have no knowledge of the individuals named by Rajab Butt in his video.
The police said that the process of identifying and locating the culprits involved in the shooting is still underway. They added that they currently have no information about the suspects mentioned by Rajab Butt.
It should be noted that Butt left Pakistan Friday following the shooting. His sudden departure reportedly is linked with potential legal action under the country’s blasphemy laws for allegedly making disrespectful remarks against Islamic figures.
The social media influencer has been in the spotlight for his controversial activities. He had apologized to people for his religious remarks earlier this year.
