Flight operations in Islamabad are being severely affected due to rain and bad weather, and as a result, flight routes or schedules will be changed.
According to airport sources, a private airline flight from Jeddah to Islamabad was made to land in Karachi. As per airport sources, a PIA flight from Karachi to Islamabad landed at Multan Airport, while flight PK-370 was diverted to Multan Airport due to bad weather.
Additionally, PK-370 was scheduled to depart from Karachi to Islamabad at 9 PM, but it took off four hours late at 1 AM. Airport sources say passengers have been instructed to stay inside the aircraft at Multan Airport. On ATC’s instructions, the captain landed the flight at Multan Airport.
According to a PIA spokesperson, as soon as the weather improves, the flight will be sent from Multan to Islamabad. Passengers faced inconvenience inside the aircraft due to the air conditioning being turned off.
Due to bad weather, the aircraft circled over Islamabad for several minutes. As it was not granted landing permission, the captain landed the plane at Multan Airport.
