Quetta Gladiators clinched the top position in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 on Sunday with a hard-fought victory over Multan Sultans at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Quetta Gladiators ended their league stage on a thrilling note as Hasan Nawaz struck a six off the final ball to seal victory over Sultans.
Chasing 186, Quetta’s openers Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay launched an aggressive start, with Nafay smashing a quickfire 51 off 26 balls.
Despite a middle-order collapse, including key wickets of Fernando, Chandimal, and Ashraf, Quetta remained in contention. Hasan Nawaz held his nerve in a tense final over, guiding his side home with a last-ball six and securing a memorable win and top spot in the standings.
Batting first, Multan Sultans set a competitive target of 185 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Quetta’s bowling attack delivered a disciplined performance, led by Usman Tariq, who stood out with figures of 3 for 32 in his four overs. Supporting contributions came from Khurram Shahzad, Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Wasim Jr., each claiming a wicket to restrict the opposition and secure the win.
