Punjab University has announced the postponement of exams scheduled for December 16, which will now take place on December 18. The university did not provide specific reasons for this decision. A spokesperson for the university stated that a revised schedule for the postponed exams will be shared at a later time.
This marks the second instance in recent weeks where the university has postponed exams. Previously, exams scheduled for November 25 were delayed by a week due to smog-related concerns. The frequent exam postponements have raised concerns among students, affecting their academic schedules and preparations.
In other news, public and private schools and colleges across Islamabad and Punjab were closed on Monday, reportedly due to security concerns. Notifications for the closures were issued by the district administrations of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the Punjab government’s School Education Department.
While the authorities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi did not specify the reasons for the closures, the Punjab School Education Department cited the “prevailing security situation” as the reason. Amanullah Khan, of the District Education Authority Rawalpindi, confirmed the holiday notification but expressed uncertainty about the exact cause behind the closure.
