The Punjab Education Department has scheduled the announcement of annual examination results for classes one to eight on Friday, April 4, following Eid ul-Fitr. This marks a shift from the usual March 31 release date.
The announcement falls within the Eid holidays, requiring teachers, class in-charges, school heads, and support staff to return to schools to oversee the process. Special ceremonies will be held in government schools to honor position holders and students with awards.
According to the Punjab Teachers Union and other educators’ organizations, the results have already been finalized and are ready for distribution.
Earlier, the Punjab Education Department had issued a notification regarding new school timings, set to take effect after the Eid ul-Fitr holidays. The revised schedule will remain in place from April 7 to October 15.
Single-shift schools: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Fridays: until 12:00 PM).
Double-shift schools:
First shift: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM (Fridays: until 12:00 PM).
Second shift: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM (Fridays: 2:30 PM onwards).
