LAHORE: The initial investigation report of the Lahore bomb blast which took place in Anarkali area, earlier in the day, has been submitted to the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
As per the reports presented to Punjab CM, the blast exploded from a planted device. A 1.5 kg of explosive material was used in the blast. The blast took place in Lohari Chowk.
According to the initial reports, the blast damaged the building and eight motorcycles, injuring 29 people and killing two. The dead included Ramzan and Absaar. The blast occurred at 1:40 PM and at 1:44 PM an unknown person made a call to convey that the blast had taken place in New Anarkali.
As per the reports, the administration including Lahore police reached immediately. Police, forensic and intelligence agencies are on the scene. CCTV cameras are being used to find out who planted the explosives, and the injured are being given the best medical care.

Immediately after the blast, an emergency was declared in all the hospitals across Lahore and medical aid is being provided to the injured. Some suspects have been arrested and are being investigated.
Condemnation
Prime Minister Imran Khan and various other political personalities on Thursday condemned the Lahore blast that claimed precious lives.
According to details, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan condemned the blast at New Anarkali in Lahore. The premier, while taking notice of the explosion, has directed the concerned authorities to arrest the responsible people as soon as possible.
He further extended condolences to the bereaved families of the explosion victims.
Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also censured the bomb blast in Lahore and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
Punjab government should take immediate steps for better treatment of injured, blast in Anarkali after the martyrdom of police officers in Islamabad is worrisome.
Maryam Nawaz also expressed sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in Lahore blast and said that poor and minors were affected by the blast which is strongly condemnable.
