The Government of Punjab on Wednesday announced a 10-day Eid holiday for schools across the province, a private TV channel reported.
As per the report, Secretary School Education Khalid Nazir Wattoo on Wednesday said that the holidays would begin on March 28 and would last until April 6.
“The schools will reopen on April 7,” he said, adding, “The new academic year will also start on that day.”
The secretary informed that the annual exam results would be announced on April 4.
Eid-ul-Fitr is expected on March 31 in Pakistan and the government of Pakistan has announced only three days Eid holidays for all government employees.
Sindh and other provinces may also announce extended Eid holidays for schools and colleges. It should be noted that private educational institutions in Pakistan mostly have their schedule of holidays.
