LAHORE: Former General Secretary youth of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district Sialkot, Atta ur Rahman, was abducted by unknown persons in Lahore on Wednesday night.
A CCTV footage that surfaced online shows Attaur Rahman enjoying at an eatery in Lahore when unidentified men approached him and asked him to go along with them.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan, in a tweet on Thursday, condemned the act and termed it as abduction. He stated, “Another abduction late last night – this time of PTI’s Instagram lead Atta ur Rehman from Faisal Town Lahore. Atta has been with us for 15 years. The powerful are breaking all laws with impunity.”

The incident has again triggered serious concerns about the safety of political workers, especially those affiliated with PTI. The party leadership has demanded immediate action from the authorities to ensure Atta ur Rahman’s safe recovery.
Soon after Attaur Rahman’s abduction, PTI workers took to Twitter and started running an online campaign, seeking his release. The campaign #ReleaseAttaUrRehman quickly became one of the top trend on social media.
