KARACHI: The President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Chapter Ali Zaidi has been granted bail by Malir Court in a case filed a decade ago pertaining to “fraud”.
Zaidi’s lawyers told the court that their client had struck ‘settlement’ with complainant, after which lawyer representing the complainant raised no objection.
The Court directed to submit surety bonds of Rs. 10,000 and accepted his bail application, ordering to set him free.
This came just minutes after Malir Court rejected police demand of extension in physical remand of Ali Zaidi, and decided to send him to jail on judicial remand.

Ali Zaidi was arrested on the basis of a first information report (FIR), registered at Ibrahim Hyderi police station on the complaint of a property dealer, Fazal Ilahi. He alleged that Zaidi and two unidentified persons had given him a “fake” property file in partial repayment of a loan.
