ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has turned down Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation to attend the All Parties Conference (APC), scheduled to take place on February 7, to mull over the growing threat of terrorism in the country.

PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, talking to newsmen, confirmed that the party will participate in the All Parties Conference, saying “Imran Khan will not sit and talk with leaders who fabricated fake cases against party leaders.”
“How we can sit with the government when it is violating the Constitution, registering sedition cases against us and arresting our people,” the former planning minister said.
The PTI leader also accused the government of deliberately creating confusion in holding elections, adding that Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman was not ready to give a date for elections in the province. He hoped that the election date would be decided by Thursday.
This came within minutes when former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said no PTI representative would participate in the Apex committee meeting, taking place at Governor House Peshawar.
