Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has tightened security for the former First Lady amid concerns over the audio and video leaks involving Bushra Bibi.
According to a report by national media on Monday, PTI leadership has instructed members of the national and provincial assemblies not to bring their mobile phones to meetings.
Local media (Aaj News) reported, citing PTI sources, that the party leadership is concerned about the potential leakage of Bushra Bibi’s audio and video during PTI leadership meetings, where she addresses them.
According to PTI sources, the leadership has made special arrangements to prevent any mishaps related to audio and video leaks, similar to those that occurred with PTI and other political parties in the past.
To avoid such leaks, the party had previously confiscated the mobile phones of PTI MNAs and MPAs during earlier meetings.
