Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawyer Niazullah Niazi leveled serious allegations against the Chief Justice of Pakistan during the hearing of the Election Commission’s appeal in PTI’s Intra-party election plea.
According to details, a three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice, including Justice Mussarat Hilali and Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar, heard the appeal of the Election Commission. The Chief Justice inquired why Hamid Khan was not nominated in the intra-party elections.
The Chief Justice questioned, “All the new people have come into PTI, where have the old ones gone? Can it be that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is being manipulated politically?” Niazullah Niazi replied, “Don’t talk about such things. You can say anything; I have been appearing before you for three years.”
PTI lawyer Niazullah Niazi stated that his son came to you for a clerk’s interview, and you (CJP) asked PTI-related questions. “I know why this is happening to me,” he said, to which Chief Justice Justice Faiz Isa was astonished.
Justice Faiz Isa asked Barrister Ali Zafar if we should issue a notice to him. He replied, “I seek forgiveness.” The Chief Justice said, “We want to understand the questions. Should we not hear the case if we want to maintain this attitude? Allegations have been leveled against me.”
During the hearing, Chief Justice, pointing out direct references to the media, said that Niazullah Niazi’s son has never come to me for an interview. Later, a brief recess was taken during the Election Commission’s appeal hearing.
