Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the protesters are deliberately attacking security forces, while police and Rangers officials are performing their duties to maintain law and order in Pakistan.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a statement condemning the attacks on police and Rangers and prayed for the highest place in heaven for those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to protect their homeland.
The Prime Minister directed the authorities to thoroughly investigate the incidents and take strict action against those responsible for attacking Rangers and causing casualties among law enforcement personnel. He instructed officials to ensure that the culprits are brought to justice at all costs.
In his statement, the Prime Minister said: “Attacks on Rangers and police in the name of peaceful protests are condemnable. This group of anarchists is deliberately targeting law enforcement institutions, while the police and Rangers are stationed to ensure peace in the city.”
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and other political leaders also condemned the incident in which four Rangers personnel were martyred and five others injured after the protesters rammed their vehicle into the officials, resulting in fatalities.
