Behind-the-scenes contacts between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the establishment are apparently ongoing for the release of PTI’s founder, as claimed by national media.
According to a report by Geo News on Thursday, a senior PTI official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that PTI is engaged in covert discussions with the establishment for the release of its founder.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur are making efforts to secure his release. As reported, according to the senior party official, the party agrees that the founder’s release is not possible without the establishment’s approval.
Meanwhile, Barrister Gohar and Chief Minister Ali Amin remain hopeful about his release. There have been no direct meetings with the establishment, but both leaders continue their efforts.
Interestingly, the report predicts that in case of success of discussions with the establishment, the PTI founder could receive significant relief. On the other hand, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, while speaking to media, stated that they are making efforts at all levels for the founder’s release and remain hopeful about a positive outcome.
